Max La Frenais

Max La Frenais joined Sovereign Land in 2007 with more than 35 years experience in the property industry. Max is Sovereign Land’s leasing director and manages all elements of the company’s leasing strategy.
Max started out at Clive Lewis & Partners where he was made a partner in 1980. At this time he was head of the retail agency department and, latterly, the investment department and was involved in numerous town centre developments including Aberdeen, Basildon, Bracknell and Falkirk.
In 1990, he co-founded the specialist retail agency Kitchen La Frenais Morgan and dealt primarily with high street and shopping centre investments with clients such as AXA, the Duchy of Lancaster, Redevco and Threadneedle. He also built exceptionally strong relationships with UK retailers.
He led the team responsible for the disposal of 103 C&A stores throughout the country, including the refurbishment of flagship stores in Oxford Street, London; Listergate, Nottingham; and The Martletts, Crawley.
