The Forum, Sittingbourne
Sovereign Land and Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust acquired The Forum Shopping Centre in the heart of the Kentish town of Sittingbourne in 1991. A 100,000 sq ft covered centre comprising 3 stores, 30 shops and a surface car park. Forum tenants included Bon Marché, New Look, Peacocks and Somerfield.
Sovereign Land initiated a programme of improvements to the centre, including a comprehensive refurbishment and extension that was completed in 1999. The scheme was sold in 2000.
